Dominick William Badalamenti

Jess and Damian welcomed their beautiful son into the world on Monday September 28th at 12:11am. He weighed 8 pounds 6 ounces and was 19 inches long! She had him just 3 days before her scheduled C-section (he was breech)! I was so happy about this, because Joe and I are leaving for Mexico on Wednesday. I was so happy to get the call from her on Sunday night saying she was heading to the hospital because her water broke!! He is precious!

Girl's night out!!

This year for Jamie's 31st birthday I had the idea instead of getting her a gift, I would plan a night out with girlfriends. So, that's what we did!! Jamie, Allison, Lauren, Michelle & myself all headed down to Denver and started the day with pedicures, then went to the Warwick hotel and snacked on chips and guacamole and cheese and crackers, and lets not forget the beer and wine! From there we headed to the Keg steakhouse and had some dinner and more drinks, made a showing at the Rockies game (they were great seats, thanks Allison!) took many pictures there and cheered (sometimes for the wrong team) irritated the people around us (which we didn't care about, we were having so much fun!) then went to the Downtown tavern where we danced the rest of the night away! It was such a great night, with a great group of girls!! I think we all decided we were going to do things like this for all of our birthdays, it's a great excuse to have a girl's night out! Happy Birthday Jamie!!!

Finally made it to the zoo.....

All summer I have wanted to go to the zoo, it's not Joe's favorite outing so I knew we wouldn't go on a weekend day. We have also been so busy all summer fitting it in seemed like it was going to be impossible. One Thursday morning, Auntie Jamie called and asked if we wanted to go to the zoo, YAY we were finally going to make it. It was a perfect day, not to hot, beautiful Colorado sky, not to busy, it was a perfect day!!! All of the kids had a great time, Emma loved the elephants, Jack loved the giraffes, Clayton loved the rhino's and Taylor I think loved it all!!

JogAthon!!

Every year Erie Elementary has it's annual fundraiser, the JogAthon! This is Emma's first year going to school there, so it was all new to us. She raised $152.00 and ran a total of 10 laps!! She did the most laps in her preschool class! She was so proud of herself, and was even more excited that Mimi was there to watch her! I was lucky enough to also attend, Auntie Jamie watched Jack for me so I could focus all of my attention on our little jogger! She did AWESOME!! Thank you all that donated, it was so thoughtful of you all!!!

CU vs CSU

This year for the Rocky mountain show down we were in Lake McConaughy. So we all put on our gear for the team we were rooting for and headed to Sand's bar & grill. We had good burgers, pizza and my fav sweet potato fries! (I think they might have been Taylor's fav too!) We were about half and half, some for CU some for CSU. We had fun giving each other a hard time. In the end CU (the team we were rooting for) didn't pull through with a final score of CSU 23 CU 17. We had a lot of fun!!! Go CU!!!

Green Chile Time!!!

Joe got a green Chile recipe from a girl he works with. So for the last few years he has been making it. He goes and gets the freshly roasted green chile's and the fresh tomatoes, and spends several hours making it. Well, today was the day that he made more!! This time though, he bought a full bushel of Chile's. He spent more than 2 hours, just peeling them! This is hands down one of my most favorite things to eat!! I can eat it by the bowl full just dipping in a tortilla. I am anxious for it to be done, so I can be the taste tester! Joe never ceases to amaze me, not only is he the best husband and father but this Italian can make some damn good green Chile!!!

Lake McConaughy

I had never been to Lake McConaughy before and Joe had been but not in several years. So we were trying to decide what to do for Labor day this year. Jamie & Chad and Scott & Lauren and their families were all going to Lake McConaughy. We were invited to join them, and are so glad we did! It was also Auntie Jamie's birthday when were there. So we celebrated with gifts in the morning, some water skiing, Malibu barbie and cake and also some very cool orange cakes! Thanks Auntie Lo!! The weather wasn't great, but we still had a great time!

Erie Tiger Cheerleader!!

I was never a cheerleader, but always thought it looked like it would be a lot of fun. When fall sports started I asked Emma what she wanted to particiapte in. I gave her a few choices, and once I told her that her friend Delaney would be doing cheerleading, that sealed the deal. Emma is officially an Erie Tiger Cheerleader! She practices, 1 time a week and cheers on Saturday mornings for the Erie flag football team. Her first game was last weekend. It was so fun to watch, and it was a lot of fun hanging out with the other parents. Karlynn Trujillo is also on the same cheer team, so we get to see Sara and Dan too! I know I am biased, but she is a pretty cute little cheerleader! I have already gotten to help coach one practice, for never doing it before I had a lot of fun and think I did ok!!
