Unconditional love and support

As a little girl I always hoped and dreamed of a man that would love me, and take care of me. As I grew, I didn't actually think he existed. Until, I met Joe. His unconditional love and support is never ending! He is there with me through thick and thin, we have good times, bad times and scary times. He is there through it all, he doesn't back down for anything. I know I am not perfect, so I sometimes question why god chose me to meet and marry a man like Joe Carnival. But then, I think we are a team. We are Joe & Liz!! We will make it through any storm, and enjoy the sunshine together. Thank you for picking me to be your wife, you amaze me daily. What an extraordinary husband and father you are, we are all so blessed to have you in our lives!! I love you honey!!

TBall Game #1

Emma had her first tball game tonight, she did awesome! When I started getting her ready tonight to leave she says to me "Mom, I didn't want to tell you all day, but my stomach hurts." I asked her if she was nervous and she said yes. She said it again when we got to the field. I kept thinking how sweet she was, so nervous for something she had never done before. I also wanted to take it away from her and not make her have that feeling, but as we all know that is part of life. She did it and she did great! She was up to bat 2 times, and came into home both times. She played a good defensive game too! Joe, Jack, Mimi and myself had a great time watching her. After the game she ran over to Mimi and gave her a big hug!

Happy 2nd Birthday Taylor!

It's hard to believe that the baby in the family is 2 years old today! It seems like he was just born. I feel so blessed to have little Toot pants as my nephew! He is such a joy to be around and such a sweet disposition! Thanks for including us in Pump it up today to celebrate his birthday! We love you so much Taylor Green!!

Summer Sleepover

Emma has been asking me for weeks to have a sleepover, so since her and Grant were in VBS at Lifebridge last week we had him over. They all ate a great dinner, and played the entire night in the basement! (Which made for a nice evening for me and Joe too!) We moved Jack's bed into the spare room so he could also sleep with the 'big kids'. Believe it or not they all slept really well, they were all up early but were happy and playing! Looking forward to the next sleepover!

Family Time

Joe and I have both been very busy, so on this particular Sunday we had a family day! It was much needed and so wonderful being all together. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and amazing kids!

Grandpa Bobby

My Grandpa Bobby loved flowers, loved looking at them, smelling them and photography them. If you had ever been in my grandparents house, there were MANY beautifully photographed flowers hanging on the wall. When he passed away 5 years ago in May, Randy and Bev brought me 2 beautiful peony plants. We would have loved them! It was so thoughtful that they thought of something that I could plant and look at year after year and think of him. Every year, at almost the exact day that he passed away, my first peony blooms. This year was a little later because of the cold. I look at them often and know he would have loved them! Thank you for the beautiful plants Randy & Bev and for giving me something I can look at that will remind me of him!

Rocket Dogs...

Joe and I are playing in the Erie adult sports league for Softball on Friday nights. Tonight was our first game. While Joe was excited to get out there and play, I was nervous since I haven't played softball since I was in high school and I wasn't good then. Not to mention I have pneumonia and bronchitis. (I have been on antibiotics for several days, but it is lingering.) After the first pitch was thrown, my nerves settled. Joe played 3rd base and I played catcher. We lost 10-13, but all had such a fun night, kids included. Emma and Jack came and ran around the ball fields. Another players daughter watched them for us, so we didn't have to worry that they were safe, and knew they were having fun. After the game we all headed over to the concession stand and got a beer and hung out and enjoyed a beautiful Colorado night. We won't be making it to the major leagues, but I know a lot of fun will be had! Go Rocket Dogs!!

Memorial day

This year's Memorial day was kind of a bust for me. I was sick in bed all day Sunday, missed camping at the lake with my family, and I still don't feel 100%. Since I had some time to reflect this weekend it reminded me that Memorial day isn't about the pool, BBQ's and parties. What it is really about is the men and women who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom in this wonderful country we live in. I feel so blessed to be an American and thank all of our military men and women, and their families for their hard work and dedication. I would like to also give a special thanks to my cousin Philip, who is in the Army and has been to Iraq fighting for freedom. You are my hero Philly and I love and miss you beyond measure!!
