Love Saturday Mornings.

Every morning during the week at our house, is rush rush. This weekend we took it very easy! I loved it! Since I started my radiation, I feel like the 4 of us haven't had much time together. This weekend we had a lot of quality time together, napping, playing, watching football and hanging out. Since we are always rushing every morning, my breakfasts are less than great. Joe always out does himself, this Saturday was no different. He made, banana, chocolate chip, peanut butter pancakes. Delicious! Great way to start the day!!

Oh Jackie B....

Jack LOVES playing with Emma, he also loves playing with Emma and her friends! When Emma leaves for school in the morning, Jack always runs up to her and gives her a hug and a kiss. On the days I don't work, he asks me several times "when are we going to get Emma?"

Today Emma's friend Quincy came over after school, I don't know which of the three of them were more excited. The girls are so good about including Jack, he has been with them since we left the school. I love that he loves them so much. He even lets them give him a 'make-over'. He walks upstairs and says to me "Mom, I don't like my hair, and can you please wash my face?" I couldn't help but snap a quick pic before cleaning him up. Thanks Emma and Quincy for including little Jackie B, he loves it so much!

Fall....beautiful.

Luckily living in Colorado we get to enjoy all four seasons. I am almost always ready for the next one to come. Usually, I am ready for the snow and cold to go away the fastest! My favorite season, which I feel like is usually the shortest is Fall! I love all the colors, football, jeans flip flops and a t-shirt, pumpkins....the list goes on! The colors on the trees are so vibrant and stunning. I never get sick of looking at them. Each time I look it's like it was the first time. Almost always accompanying the beautiful colors on the trees is a beautiful blue no cloud in the Colorado sky. How I love this time of year! Please stick around a little longer this year!!!

Daisies...

Emma is a daisy, and is so excited about it! For those of you who don't know what a daisy is, this is the first step of girl scouts. We have met twice, there are 4 other very cute little girls in her group. Her leader is TJ, and I am the co-leader. I love that Emma and I are doing this together, and that she is so excited about it! Jack keeps asking me when he gets to be in boy scouts, he is still too little for that, however he is one heck of an honorary daisy!!

Homecoming!!

We've got spirit! The whole Carnival clan put on the orange and black, and headed to the Homecoming parade to show our support for the Erie Tigers! We met great friends, got some candy and even stopped to have a few drinks. Then headed and had a great dinner, with good friends! One of the many reasons I love fall!

Been a while....

I haven't updated for quite a while and not because I haven't had anything to blog about. It's been yet another crazy few months at the Carnival house. I started and completed my 6 weeks of radiation. This was not only challenging physically, but also mentally and emotionally. Not only on me, but on my family and friend too! Thank you so much to all that helped support us. Whether you brought us a meal, took care of our kids, drove with me to treatment, texted, sent a card or gift, took me to lunch holy cow the list goes on!! Thank you!! Emma learned to ride her bike with only 2 wheels and Jack with his training wheels. Emma and Jack are both settled into school and doing well. Joe is still very busy with the Town stuff, but still very much enjoying it. We participated in The Great Erie Outdoor Adventure that I also worked at. Both Emma and Jack also participated in their annual Jog-a-thon fundraiser. Emma ran 10 laps and Jack ran 6! We are all looking forward to a much calmer fall! Enjoy some football, green chile, some beers and enjoy all of our amazing family and great friends!! This past weekend Joe and my sister in law planned a party for me at CB & Potts to celebrate the completion on radiation. We all had a wonderful time!! Maybe a little too much fun, as I didn't feel well all day on Saturday!
