a little bit more....

November/Thanksgiving

We have had a busy November.... it started with Emma's ceremony to become a daisy. Followed by some lazy days around the house, playing in the leaves. Joe and I enjoyed dinner and drinks with some good friends, we made Ravioli, spaghetti sauce, along with meatballs and sausages, a Carnival Family tradition. (One of my favorites, too!) I went ahead and added sugar cookies to the mix for the kids to have something to help with. We also had Jack's first preschool Thanksgiving party. It was a Thursday and my mom was picking up Jack from school so I could go back to work, so he was lucky enough to have Elmo join in the fun! Then lastly, we went to Silverthorne with my side of the family for Thanksgiving! We headed up Wednesday and came home on Sunday. We all had an amazing time, eating, drinking, laughing, hot tubbing, shopping, movies, skiing, sledding and did I mention eating?? We were anxious to come home and start decorating for Christmas, but we all had such a fabulous time!! We hope you all had a wonderful November and Thanksgiving!!

Fall Festival

Mimi and I enjoyed a day in Emma's class having her fall festival. There were such cute crafts, games, songs and snacks! We all had such a wonderful time!! The show the kids put on, was adorable!

No More Monkeys...

or Jackie B's jumping on the bed! Wednesday was late start morning and it had started out so nicely. A quiet morning, no one in a hurry everyone in a good mood. The kids and I were all laying in bed playing right before it was time to get ready. Jack jumped on the end of the bed (which he has done a million times) and flew toward our headboard. He hit his head, which he has also done a million times. When he began crying I didn't think it was any different from any of the other million times. When he looked at me and I saw a huge gash above his left eye and there was a lot of blood, it became very clear very quick it was not the same. Emma was very upset, but we got ourselves together and rushed to urgent care. They got him all fixed up with 11 stitches. Joe and I were both so shocked he didn't move a muscle during the stitches part. Since the fall, he hasn't seem really phased other than it is starting to itch. Which hopefully means it's healing!!

Trick or Treating....

Headed to the Toledo's for a night of food, drinks, friends and of course Trick or Treating!! The kids made out like bandits, and had a wonderful holiday. Thanks Toledo's!!!

Jack's preschool halloween party....

Jack had his first Halloween party at school. He dressed up as buzz light year! He looked so cute and had so much fun! They had a parade and special treats, it was a great day!!

Pumpkin carving...

We have the best tradition of carving pumpkins with Mimi, Poppa, Aunt Jamie, Uncle Chad, Clayton and Taylor. This year, both Jack and I were sick and Joe had been out late the night before, so we decided to stay home and take it easy. We still went ahead and got a few pumpkins, carved them and made some seeds. It was so great Mimi and Poppa came over during the week and had dinner with us, and helped with the creations. Jack and Joe carved Jack's complete with red nails polish like blood and Emma pretty much carved her entire pumpkin by herself. Poppa helped hold it and I did very little to help. She added some pink nail polish on the cheeks for some rouge. (That's for you Mimi!) We had a good night, but are looking forward to getting back to our normal tradition with the rest of the family!
