It wasn't an average Tuesday night at the Carnival house, I made chicken cattitore and rum cake and Uncle Joel came over for dinner. The kids were so excited, Uncle Joel got Jack's matchbox cars and got on the kitchen floor and they all rolled them back and forth for over 30 minutes. At one point I was wondering who was having more fun, Joe and Joel or the kids? Needless to say, I think they all enjoyed the evening very much!

Babysitters!
We are fortunate enough to live near and have such great relationships with our families. So we often have them watch our kids, but when we don't have family watch them I call our favorite babysitter, Sarah Choo! Emma loves her! Jack is warming up to the idea of being left with someone other than family. Yesterday she watched the kids while we went to the Bronco game, she showed up with a bag of Halloween goodies. She had glow in the dark nail polish, 2 packs of temporary tattoo's, garland to decorate and something for both kids to hang on the door. Both Emma and Jack were so excited! When Joe and I got home, both kids were covered in tattoo's, head to toe. Sarah Choo said they used all of them!! Not only did we have a great day away, but I think they did too!!
Broncos vs Patriots
Joe has season tickets to the Bronco's with his dad and Chad. He loves doing this on Bronco Sunday's. I am glad he gets to do it. I enjoy football, but it doesn't matter to me if I watch it from home or at the game. When it's cold I would much prefer to stay home! However this week was different, my dad came down from Glenwood Springs for the Bronco game and had an extra ticket, Joe was already going and John and Kate were also going. So he asked me if I wanted to go. Chad has been working a lot and wanted some home time, so he was nice enough to let us use his ticket, and Randy also wanted home time so he was also nice enough to let us use his 2 tickets. So Joe invited Josh, JC and my friend/boss Brandy. It was cold! But we had such a good time, and they won! Bronco's are 5-0!! Go Broncos!!!
Ringling Brothers Circus
I haven't been to the circus in years, in fact I can't remember the last time I went. My dad decided to come down from Glenwood Springs this weekend for the Bronco game so we thought the circus would be a fun thing to do with him, and Kate & John and our nephew and niece. So Saturday night we went to the Ringling Brothers Circus at the Denver Coliseum. It didn't start until 7:30pm (which we were a little worried about how Jack would do, but he did great!) But we got down there an hour early and got to walk around on the floor and try on costumes and see the animals up close and personal. Through the whole thing Emma kept turning to me to say "Thank you so much for bringing us to the circus!" We asked everyone what their favorite part was, Emma's was the Tigers, Jack's was the elephants, mine was the double human cannon ball, and Joe's (which is so sweet) said just watching the kids!! We had such a great night, and hope to do it again next year!!

Homecoming!
Emma was so lucky this year to not only be an Erie Tiger cheerleader, but because she is a cheerleader she got to participate in the homecoming parade. Joe and I borrowed Uncle Gary's flatbed trailer and decorated it with all sorts of black and orange balloons and streamers. I rode on the float with Emma while Joe, Jack & Randy stood on the street and waited for her to throw candy. Mimi & Momo were sick so they weren't able to come. But Auntie Jamie had missed her by just a few minutes, so Auntie ran down the street to see her and snap some shots. You could see in Emma's face how excited she was to she her Aunt! As she was throwing candy to her, she even shouted "be sure to give Clayton some candy!" Thanks for taking the picture of us as we were driving on the float! We lucked out and even though it was cold, the snow held off until about 8pm and then it really started coming down!!

Mexico!!!
A trip to Mexico is always amazing, but a trip with no kids and a bunch of friends is incredible! This year our friend's Jed and Colleen were getting married at the El Cid Rivera Maya. Randy & Bev so graciously agreed to watching Emma and Jack from Wednesday through Sunday. Having them watch our kids was great, both Joe and I were so comfortable and knew the kids wouldn't miss us at all. In fact, on Monday morning Emma and I were cuddling she told me she missed Mimi! It makes me so happy that our children have such an amazing relationship with their grandparents. As I was saying, Joe and I arrived in Mexico on Wednesday afternoon, and returned home on Sunday evening. Jed & Colleen got married on Saturday. We kept busy the rest of the trip with reading, sleeping late, laying on the beach, Joe jumping off the cliff into the pool (that I think was the hot spot for all the boys!), dancing and of course consuming a little alcohol. It was such an amazing trip! I came back to cold weather, but feel relaxed and was very ready to see my kids!
