It's hard to believe how much my life has changed since May 21, 2007. It was the day I had the tumor removed from my pituitary gland. As scared as I was (and Joe) we knew it had to be done. Since the surgery, I have felt great! I am still under a doctors care, but I have not had any headaches since that day in May. Thank the lord!! I have tried to be an example for my children, by not defining myself by my illness. Therefore, 1 year after my surgery with a lot of hard work and dedication as well as some help from my friend and coach Michelle, I competed in my first triathlon, the Greeley triathlon. I went onto to do 2 more last summer. I love the feeling of crossing that finish line! I just finished the Fort Collins tri on Sunday and while it has almost been 2 years I also had my best time! I am a tri girl!!
