Preseason Bronco Game

Joe and I took the kids to the Preseason Bronco game against the Steelers. Joe shares the season tickets with his dad and our brother in law, so there were some extra tickets. We were able to take some friends Dean & Katie and their daughter Zoe. Emma has been to games before, but this was Jack & Zoe first time going to a game. All the kids did really well. Jack LOVES the Broncos! He has pretty much worn a Bronco shirt at least one day a week for almost his whole life. He kept asking Joe questions, and was truly interested in what was going on. It was cute to see the kids enjoy the game!

Jack is in Preschool

Wow, he turns 3 and then starts preschool the following week. Jack has been busy! Jack's first day of preschool at Erie Elementary was August 24th. He has the same teachers Emma had last year, Mrs. Shuttleworth and Mrs. Lease. Joe and I were both so excited for Jack to have the same teachers as Emma, we have loved them! It was so cute seeing him walk in and sit down with his friends and listen to instructions. Even though he is just 3 he is so ready for this next step! We are excited to watch you grow. We love you so very much!!

Kindergarten here I come!

Emma started kindergarten on August 18th! She goes all day Monday through Friday at Erie Elementary school. She has a very sweet, young, motivated teacher Miss Vorhaus. When I dropped her off that first morning I didn't think I would cry, she has done so many things away from me and Joe. But when she turned to me and said "Mom, I am nervous." It was so hard not to get tears in my eyes. My baby is growing up and this was a huge step in letting her go out and do that. Emma, your daddy and I will always be here for you whether you are 5 or 35! We are so proud of you Emma girl! We love you!!

Jackman is 3!!

Hard to believe our baby is already 3! I remember the day he was born, a hot day in August. The 17th, I went into be induced at 7am and he was born at 2:32pm. Such a sweet boy! Changed our lives forever...Jack is a constant source of energy and challenges. I learn so much from him daily! We love you so very much Jackie B!!

We celebrated his birthday this past weekend with a fireman themed party. I was able to have the local fire department come in the fire truck and let the kids take a look. We all had a great day! Lots of food, drinks, cake and wonderful family and friends!

Catch up....

So, I clearly haven't updated photos or a post in a while. Our lives have been busy...but we have had some fun!!

Baseline Lake...

Joe grew up going the lake with his family, Lake Powell and Baseline as well as many others I'm sure. Joe and I loved to boat too once we got married. When we lived in Georgia one of the biggest perks was we were minutes from a huge lake. During the summer the Carnival/Green family heads out to Baseline most Sundays. Joe and the kids made it out 2 times this year while I only made it out this one time. Every time we are out there we all love it! Such a great time with family, sitting in the sun, playing on the water and enjoying the beautiful view! I love that we are carrying on the same tradition that Joe had as a little boy with our family. Such a wonderful loving and caring family. I love that we try and spend Sundays at the lake together!

Soccer Stars

Emma has done many camps before, but this is Jack's first. He was so excited! Emma was also so excited, she saw her cousin Clayton do the same camp last year in Broomfield and has told me many times since then that she wanted to do it this next year. When I saw the Challenger Soccer camp was coming to Erie, I jumped on signing them both up. They both absolutely LOVED it! They also loved having three of the coaches stay with us for the week! Emma and Jack have both proved to be pretty good little soccer players!

Host Family

I enrolled both Emma and Jack in a soccer camp the end of July called the Challenger soccer camp. Last year Clayton participated in this and LOVED it!! When I saw it was coming to Erie, I quickly jumped on it. You could also request to be a host family. I was excited about this too, last year Jamie and Chad hosted someone from England named Lucca. Such a cool experience. Not many Erie families signed up to be host families, so Joe and I were set to have 2 coaches. As luck would have it, we would have the exact coach staying with us this year that also stayed with Jamie and Chad last year. What a small world! We also were going to host a female. About a week before the camp started, the camp director called and asked if we would be willing to host a third coach. I knew things might be a little tight, but I thought it would be so fun. Not just for the kids, but also for me and Joe. The Sunday before the camp began, we welcomed Dan, Brogan and Lucca into our home. All three of them were all such a joy to have here! Jack really took to Dan, he loved playing with him talking to him. Joe and I also really enjoyed having them here. We are already looking forward to next years Challenger Soccer camp!

Toledo girls sleepover...

Michelle and Eddie headed to Vegas for the weekend. When she asked if I would be willing to watch Peyton and Quincy for a night while they were gone, not only was I excited to have them but Emma and Jack were over the moon! Both Emma and Jack love playing with Peyton and Quincy. The Toledo girls are always such a joy to be around! Anytime you need to go out of town Michelle, they are welcome to stay here!!
